When it comes to choosing colours for your bedroom, you need to consider how those colours will make you feel.
Pale colours can be the most relaxing and inoffensive. Create a calming space with a pale pallet.
Opt for creams, and paler shades of one or two colours for a really relaxing ambience.
You might be surprised to hear that blues are one of the best colours to choose for a bedroom. Pale blue in particular has a really calming influence and can be perfect for helping us to drift off to sleep.
Red is a popular choice for those who like the “boudair” look. If you like your bedroom to have a passionate feel, then consider rich, deep reds. Be careful with red though, it can actually over-stimulate the mind meaning that you may struggle to sleep.
Yellows can really brighten up the room, helping to cheer us up and feel more motivated when you wake.
If you’re not sure which colour will work best for you, then it’s worth trying out a few options with accessories before you start to paint the walls. No matter what colour you choose, avoid any dark shades as these will make the room feel smaller and draw the walls in.
